Mangement of early eruption of succedaneous permanent teeth due to premature loss of primary molars
Lee Sang-Ho

Yeo Hyun-Ok
Abstract
Following premature extraction of primary molars, the lack of bone overlying the p rmanent tooth bud, which accelerates eruption, may put the relatively undeveloped tooth under undue environmental stress.
The occlusal stress causes the accelerated vertical or mesio-distal movement of tooth burl resulting in infection, fallen out of tooth bud, or shortened root formation. gyears old boy was visited for treatment of dental caries.Intra-oral examination snowed remainsd roots of lower Rt and Lt. 1st and 2nd primary molars, and shored early eruption state of succedaneous permanent molars. Undevelop3d roots of premolars were shown in Cle intra-oral radiograph.
The treatment was followed by modified passive lingual appliance after extraction of lower Rt. and Lt. 1st and 2nd primary molars for prevention of adverse effects such as infection, fallen out of tooth, or abnormal root formation.
